Contact I have bought this amp to carry it to any small gigs I have. I have other amp but they are heavy and not ideal to bring them to any gig or practice room. With Bam200 I simply take it on my pocket or gig pocket and I am good to go. It is powerful enough to drive up to 200W cabs. I have been testing at least a dozen micro-amps and the BAM200 is just astounding. Fine for bass, although a four-band eq would make it even better - hence just four stars for features.

In fact, this makes me think you could easily get away with strong active basses and still have some headroom. I have to say, I am absolutely in love, so much that I am immediately selling my PF350, which was purchased for the same reason (needed light amp for tracking and practice, but I HATE the sound of it). This TC Bam200 is a neat little bass amp, less expensive and comparable to other popular micro bass amps, and just what I wanted for my purposes. Granted, I don't gig with it, but I suspect it has more than enough oomph for smaller venues if you wanted it for that. Beginners looking for a cheap MOSFET amp that has just enough features and performance should be checking out the TC Electronic BAM200. It looks like there’s a whole lot of amp for not a lot of money on offer here.
